Grandparents Plus produced its own Response to Care Matters January 2007 as well as contributing to the Kinship Alliance response co-ordinated by Family Rights Group - The role of the state in supporting relatives raising children who cannot live with their parents.

Learning with Grandparents

As part of the Learning with Grandparents project, funded by the Basic Skills Agency, Grandparents Plus has produced Good Practice Cards. The cards are aimed at grandparents and are packed full of ideas and suggestions of fun things to do with grandchildren that can also help with the children's literacy and numeracy. There is also a leaflet for schools on involving grandparents. Learning Together: for schools and children's centres

If you would like further details of the methods we used and what grandparents told us we have produced a full report of our work. The Silver Lining of My Life
