Interns

Communications and Campaigns Intern
Deadline: Thursday 23 February 2012

We are seeking an enthusiastic intern to play a key role in mobilising support for our campaign for more support for family and friends carers. There are currently more than 200,000 grandparents and other family and friends carers raising children who cannot live with their parents. These carers do an incredible job. But they often feel isolated, have financial problems and lack decent support from central and local government.

We are looking for someone with great communication and IT skills who has a passion for social justice. The role will include drafting campaign communications, updating our website, blog and social networking profiles and helping to organise events. We can offer you an insight into all aspects of the work of a high profile and influential campaigning charity. You will volunteer in a dynamic team with experienced campaign and policy staff who have experience of working for Barnado’s, Amnesty and Oxfam.
