Grandparents Plus runs events for grandparents who are raising their grandchildren to provide an opportunity to meet, exchange views, access information and promote solutions to problems. These are open to grandparents and other family members and friends who are raising children because the parents can't look after them.

Our first event, the launch of the Grandparents Raising Grandchildren Network, was held in  Liverpool on 7 March 2008.  Attended by 130 grandparents the conference called for a universal non-means tested benefit to be paid for each child being raised by a grandparent.
