Volunteer Training: Kinship Care Champion - Campaigning

Kinship Care Champions are advocates for kinship care and Grandparents Plus. You will play a key role in supporting the charity’s work, increasing awareness of the issues faced by kinship carers by campaigning for change within your local community and at a Parliamentary level.

Training will cover everything you need to know about becoming a volunteer for the service, influencing your MP, influencing your local authority and promoting campaigns. Kinship Care Champions are based in your local community and the role can be carried out at a time that suits you.

Travel expenses of up to £10 will be reimbursed on the day. Travel expenses over this will need to be submitted through expenses and repaid via bank transfer.

Light refreshments will be provided.
