As the leading kinship care charity in the UK, Grandparents Plus is at the forefront of fighting for better recognition of kinship care families across the country.  With growing public awareness and an increasing number of opportunities to influence decision making at the highest levels, Grandparents Plus is expanding its External Affairs team.  We're looking for an experienced campaigner to lead our powerful network of carers in achieving real change, developing local and national strategies that put carer voices at the heart of our influencing activities.  

About the role

You'll be responsible for leading on the development of the charity's campaigning activity, drawing together our network of carers, varied stakeholders and supporters into initiatives to achieve real and lasting change for kinship care families.  You'll be our internal expert when it comes to policy, on top of the latest research and driving opportunities for Grandparents Plus to contribute the the conversation.  You'll be comfortable briefing everyone from staff to MPs on what they need to know, with an excellent eye for detail and the ability to distill complex information.  Working in a small team, you'll thrive in a fast-paced environment, use your initiative to make the most of every opportunity while providing support and advice to colleagues across the charity.
