As the leading kinship care charity in the UK, Grandparents Plus is at the forefront of fighting for better recognition of kinship care families across the country.  With growing public awareness and an increasing number of opportunities to influence decision making at the highest levels, Grandparents Plus is expanding its External Affairs team.  We're looking for an experienced communications professional to join our growing charity, and play a pivotal role in driving awareness of the charity and of kinship care, reaching new audiences and creating a compelling case for change.

About the Role

You'll be responsible for developing national and regional media strategies, including leading on our national awareness week, as well as working with colleagues throughout the organsiation to ensure kinship care stories are represented in all we do.  You'll be a digital native, able to take a hands-on approach to social media and passionate about working with people with wide-ranging experiences.  Working in a small team, you'll thrive in a fast-paced environment, use your initiative to make the most of every opportunity while providing support and advice to colleagues across the charity.
