  3. We're aiming to create a giant collage showing the brilliant diversity of kinship carers. Can you send us a photo of you and your family that we can include? Email [email protected] 
  4. Do you have a community centre where you could put up our poster?

What's on? 

There are plenty of events happening during the week. We'll keep updating the below as new events are confirmed:

Saturday 5 October 

  • Celebration days took place at five locations across the country. The Celebration Days are events exclusively for kinship carers and kinship care children who are part of our network and are an opportunity for a free, fun, family day out. You can join the network here

Monday 7 October 

  • We launched the results of our annual survey of over 1,100 kinship carers. You can read it here
  • Kinship Carers Liverpool had an open-house coffee morning and a teen chat to celebrate the history of the project, what young people have contributed in peer mentoring and advice and steering younger kin-kids in a positive direction. Find out more.
  • Our advice team were out and about and meeting kinship carers in Newcastle. Find out more

Tuesday 8 October 

  • We will be holding a roundtable for younger kinship carers to find out more about their experiences. 
  • Ridley & Hall Solicitors are hosting a FREE online advice session at 11am. Just send a direct message to their Facebook page for free legal advice. 
  • Our advice team will be hitting the road and meeting kinship carers in Newcastle. Find out more
  • Kinship Carer in Kirklees are holding a coffee morning at Dewsbury Town Hall 
  • Support group for Special Guardians and Kinship Foster Carers in Islington. Find out more 

Wednesday 9 October

Friday 11 October

  • Across the country MPs will be visiting our support groups to meet kinship carers in their constituency and find out more about the support they need
  • Come and learn about how you can campaign for kinship carers at our free training in London. More details here
  • Pop in to our London office and meet our advice team. They will be joined by a Family Law Solicitor who will offer some free, initial advice. Event details here
  • Kinship Carers Liverpool will be hosting a high tea, with food, drinks, entertainment, singing and dancing. Find out how to join
