The summer holidays can be a challenging time for kinship carers who are trying to live on a limited budget, so we've pulled together lots of ideas for ways the whole family can have fun without breaking the bank. Discount cards: The MaxCard is the UK’s leading discount card for foster families and families of children with additional needs. Families can use their Max Card at venues across the UK to get free or discounted admission. The Family Pass gives you discounts on days out and attractions - from riding down the log flumes at your favourite theme park to braving a scary dungeon in the capital, they've got ideas for all the family! Travel: There are lots of options out there to help you pay less for travel. Check if you can get a Railcard here or read Age UK’s guide to travel cards. There may also be local offers, such as the MCard in West Yorkshire or these discounts in London. Free and cheap days out and holidays: Want to get away for the summer? We've partnered with Haven so that all kinship carers can get 10% off every Haven holiday, including 10% off any of their offers.
